Another example of a contract we worked on with
penalties and performances bonuses was the
Second Narrows Bridge rehabilitation project.
The contractor will be awarded a $25,000 per day
bonus for each 24 hour period, prior to 5:00 am
August 11, 1996, that Deck Work is complete and the
entire 6 lanes of the bridge are unencumbered
to traffic.
For each 24 hour period, or part therof, following
5:00 am August 16, 1996, that Deck Work is not
complete the Contractor will be assessed a
penalty of $100,000.
